Sales and Marketing Executives
at Creativenav Limited in Mauritius
Job Purpose
To plan, design and carry out the below to maintain and develop sales of our software and services to Small to Medium sized business in Mauritius, United Kingdom and potentially other countries that we may operate in ; in accordance with agreed business plans and guidelines.
Salary : Rs 50,000 OTE.
Salary can reach up to Rs 75,000 per month depending upon deals closed.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
1. Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.
2. Plan, design and carry out direct marketing activities (principally direct e-mail) to agreed budgets, sales volumes, values, product mix and timescales.
3. Carry out telemarketing within out territories, typically cold calling senior executives such as Finance Directors, Managing Directors, etc to establish a need for our solutions and / or for market research
4. Develop ideas and create offers for direct mail and marketing to prospect, key accounts and our customer base. Typically by main market sector and / or product lines.
5. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone and personal visits.
6. Maintain and develop new and existing customers through planned campaigns with liaison with internal Account Management staff.
7. Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
8. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
9. Maintain an appropriate level of communication with our suppliers in terms of leveraging their experience, knowledge and any marketing activities they are carrying out (e.g. with Microsoft)
10. Help design & improve the layout of our web site (web development skills in not required, but will be beneficial)
11. Maintain content of our web site, blogs and other area’s social media.
12. Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
13. Manage any external marketing agency activities (for example any telemarketing, research, public relations agencies, etc).
14. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

• Must be mature and domestically secure.
• Able to comfortably spend one or two nights away per month (without upsetting domestic situation).
• Able to commute reliably to office base.

Specific Job Skills
• Able to communicate and motivate via written media.
• Understands the principles of marketing and advertising cost-effectiveness, including market sector targeting, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling, cost per response, cost per conversion, etc.
• Appreciates need for consistency within company’s branding and marketing mix, especially PR and the Internet.
• Experience of managing marketing agency activities useful.
Computer skill
• Must be adept in use particularly Excel and Word
• Able to use or willing to learn about enterprise solutions (such as CRM and ERP packages)
Literacy and Numeracy
• Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc.
• Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
Business and Selling Skills
• Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
• Able to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and large contracts or even a business, particularly achieving genuine sales development.
• Ideal background would be in marketing business application software and services, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Experience of writing proposal and responding to tenders would also be useful.
Management Ability
• Though internal staff management is not initially part of the job, responsibility and opportunity could grow with the development of the business, for example the prospect of recruiting and managing support telesales staff. Some people-management skills, experience and natural ability will be useful.
